The Parents & Pupils

We are in regular contact with parents regarding the ASF process and activities in school. Parents attend Showcases and also are involved in activities during Active School Week & Be Active ASAP. The Active School Committe are also in regular contact with pupils & teachers to ensure all voices are heard.

Pupil & Parent Questionnaires

Our pupil & parent questionnaires were distributed in November 2018. Many thanks to all pupils and parents who filled them out.

Cycling with Bike Green

Francis and Seán from Bike Green are in school throughout this year to deliver cycling sessions to ALL pupils.

Rugby

 

Local Footballer Daniel Freeman is coaching a tag rugby team.

Swimming

We attend swimming lessons in Coral Leisure Centre in Monaghan

The Peace Link

 

We regularly attend the Peace Link for activities throughout the year.

Gymnastics

The children love when LA Gymnastics come to our school.

LA Gymnastics teach gymnastics in two blocks- one with 3rd-6th in March and Junior Infants-2nd Class in May.

Dance

Rosita comes in May most years to teach Dance to all classes.

GAA

2nd Class boys competing in a tournament with Múinteoir Niamh using the skills they learn with both coaches Ann McKenna and Daniel Freeman. Collie McCaughey from Clones GAA Club (Sarah’s dad) also helps out with training in school.

International Agencies

 

We organised a walk for Blue Nose Day in 2018 and raised money for Autism Ireland.

 

We completed the ‘Let’s Get Active, 60 Minutes Challenge’ and all received certificates from the Irish Heart Foundation. We also received pocket planners for everyone!

Múinteoir Lisa has been in contact with Healthy Ireland and they are sending us all information on Healthy Eating.

We are in regular contact with Monaghan Sports Partnership & Dean McElroy the Inclusion Officer.

We are in contact with the Health Promotion Officer to keep up to date with events in our area.
